Nigerian youths are been encouraged by the Federal Government to embrace automotive innovation as part of national efforts to accelerate economic growth and technological advancement.
Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiative, Dr Titilope Gbadamosi, said the push aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed focus on youth development, skills acquisition and the transformation of Nigeria’s automotive industry.
Gbadamosi said Nigeria is investing heavily in mobility technology, clean energy transition and digital innovation to position young people at the centre of future automotive growth.
She said “We are not only equipping young Nigerians with the knowledge needed for the jobs of today, we are preparing them to lead the automotive future of Africa and even the world.”
“Together, we have started driving the future of Nigeria. We have started driving the future of Africa. And I dare say we are driving the future where youths will stand confidently as creators, innovators and global competitors in the automotive world.”
Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Chief Joseph Osanipin, said innovation was evolving rapidly and Nigerian youths must stay ahead of global trends.
He described young people as the engine room of national development, adding: “Youths are emerging as the engine of transformation, not only in the automotive industry, but also in technology and ICT. Across Nigeria and Africa, youth-driven innovation is reshaping mobility and accelerating our industrial growth.”
