Nollywood actress Ajara Lasisi, widely known by her stage name Aunty Ajara, has died following a prolonged illness. Her death was confirmed by her family and colleagues in the Nigerian film industry this week.
The news of her passing was shared publicly by filmmaker Tobi Oladele (Teemony) and subsequently confirmed by her elder brother, Ridwan Lasisi, in a video message.
She died overnight on Thursday, 5 February 2026, after a long and courageous battle with undisclosed illness.
