Chris Brown and Omololu Akinlolu have pleaded guilty to affray over the 2023 London nightclub attack.
The pair pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court on 24 July 2026, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The incident happened at Tape nightclub in Mayfair on 19 February 2023, involving music producer Abraham Diaw.
Prosecutors said Brown struck Diaw twice on the head with a glass bottle, after which Akinlolu joined the attack. Diaw was treated in hospital for head and knee injuries.
The more serious allegations, including attempted grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, will not proceed after the guilty pleas.
Sentencing is scheduled for 26 October 2026. Affray carries a maximum sentence of three years imprisonment, although the actual sentence will depend on the circumstances and the judge’s assessment.
Brown was arrested in May 2025, more than two years after the incident, when he returned to the UK for his tour. He was subsequently released on bail involving a £5 million security payment.
The UK’s Crown Prosecution Service described the incident as a “vicious and unprovoked attack” and said Brown used the bottle as a weapon.
